Busy Ladies

We are getting close to our Pesach (Passover) holiday.  The ladies are working hard to finish up projects before it starts.  Pesach is a time for family, friends, and vacation activities so there is no time for sewing.  We can't forget all the cleaning we do before our holiday starts!  Here is a little of what's going on.
Rina made this backing for our Fish and Boat comfort quilt.  We have it all ready for quilting now.
Rina made this quilt top which has such delightful fabrics.

This is the fabric that will be on the back.  Now it's ready for quilting.

Tova discussed and cut out these fabrics for a Yellow Brick Road quilt.  The ladies have been making this pattern with every color you can think of.
We showed you Rina's quilt top before, but now it's ready for quilting.
This was a busy day for my dinning room table.

Rina's Sailboad Quilt

Rina has just finished the top for this comfort quilt.  It started out as a panel showing ships.  A few squares of fish were added and now it's a very cute quilt for a very sick little boy.  Rina took home fabric to make the back and hopefully next Monday we will sandwich it and get it ready for quilting.  Great job Rina!  I hope to show you the quilt when it's finished.

The Log Cabin Quilt Is Finished

Sara's Log Cabin is finished.  Here the ladies are sandwiching the quilt as we ususally do on my dinning room table.  It helps to have several gals work in it.  It goes so much faster and much more fun when not alone.  Sara this is beautiful.
Here is the back.  No boring back for this quilt.

Log Cabin Quilt

Sara is working on a yellow and blue log cabin.  She just came up with this arrangement so now it's ready for the sashing strips to be put on.  This picture doesn't show how lovely the fabrics are.  Her friend will really enjoy this very Spring looking quilt.

Finished String Quilt

The latest light and dark blue string quilt is finished and delivered.   It came out extra long, 90 inches, but that's OK.  This teenager is tall and still growing.

Sara's Pink Quilt

Sara has started another "Yellow Brick Road' quilt.  She loves this pattern and has not gotten tired of making it.  This time it's pink and I think it will be wonderful.  It's going so fast, she should be finished with it soon.

Another String Quilt

While I'm finishing up the last string quilt, I started another.  This one is mostly browns with a little yellow and orange thrown in to brighten it a bit.  I have black for all the middle strips to make it a little more interesting. So far, I like the way it is turning out.

Working On A Comfort Quilt

Our latest string comfort quilt is coming along.  Thanks to all the ladies that have been working on this project.  We are hoping to have it finished this week.  And thanks to Stephanie in Texas.  Yes, we are still using the fabrics that you have donated.  There are many of your fabrics in this latest quilt.

New Arrivals

I'm always so excited when I receive quilt magazines and quilt books.  This latest arrival of two of  Bonnie Hunter's (from Quiltville) will keep me smiling for quiet awhile.
I have four of her books now and I think there is a new one coming out soon.

Shifra's Project

Shifra has a new grandson.  This picture was taken just before she finished the quilt for the new baby.  They are the latest colors for modern quilts that I have been seeing on the internet.  It's a lovely, lovely quilt.

Shifra is working on this long time project.  She hopes to finish it this year.
