Susan Demonstates Lil Twister

A very big thank you to Susan from the "Scrap Happy" blog
for showing us how to use the new Lil Twister template that is so popular at this time.  It's always so exciting to learn something new and Susan made it very interesting for us at this week's meeting.  All of us enjoyed learning this technique and are interested in making some of these Twister quilts.

It also happened to be Sara's birthday and Sara surprised us by bringing in a cheese cake for the ladies.  What a nice way to celebrate one's birthday by sharing.  It was very good of course; and, now we have a head start for the upcoming holiday of Shavuos, next week

  1. I really like the bright colors with the black! I bought this tool last week but want to make a bigger quilt. At least a crib or twin. Any idea how many squares are needed to do this? I also wonder if they need to be arranged differently and if the border is still 3". Did Susan mention anything about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  2. This is so cool--it really does "twist"! And the cake, well, the cake looks delicious! Thanks for all the great photos, Etty. What a wonderful group you have.

  3. I made the twister with sewing 5" squares together to get the 10" layer cake then used the larger twister tool. But have alot left over in the centers. Is there anything I can do with that as a twister? Thank you. I love the look.
