This week's Get-Together

We had wonderful Show and Tell quilt projects to see today.
Shifra made major progress on her wall hanging.  It isn't finished, but I wanted you to see how it is coming along.

Shifra also is designing a new black and white tote bag.  She's using her latest bag as a guide for size and will be adding pockets shown below, to the outside.  She isn't using a pattern so it will be interesting to see what she makes.  I'm showing a close up of the design she has chosen.
Shifra also brought her latest quilt top to show.  It's larger than she planned and it's a lovely, lovely quilt.

Rina has planned two quilts for bunk beds using the same fabric with different designs.  This is the second quilt top she has made with these fabrics. They will certainly brighten up any room.  After some ladies left there was room on the table for Rina and Sara to sandwich this quilt top, so now it's ready to be machine quilted.

Susan has finished her latest quilt which she has been working on for the past few months.  It's completely hand pieced and hand appliqued. You can really only appreciate the expert quilting when you see this quilt in person.  Pictures just don't show it.

There were other things going on.  Hinda was busy sewing her jeans quilt and there was a very large turn out of ladies for or regular Shiur (bible study lecture) by Rachel. I continued to work on my Apple Core quilt (when I wasn't taking pictures) and Sara worked on her Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt, both hand pieced.
I am constantly amazed and delighted how much talent there is in our quilt group.
